From 1st to 3rd June 2007 The Tenth International Zoological Fair PET FAIR 2007 took place in Łódź. It is the biggest and most important zoological event organized every two years in Poland.  There were some dozen participators including all main Polish and European manufacturers, importers, distributors and wholesalers. One of them was AQUAEL – one of the biggest European manufacturer of aquarium and garden pond equipment. On AQUAEL’s huge (64 square meters) exhibition every key product was presented, both these well known and already popular and some news which were taken to the market in last days. The most interesting between these news were: BRILLUX – an unique complete aquarium set prepared to the needs of aquatic plants, new terrarium ‘DO IT YOURSELF’ combining all advantages of comfortable use with safety and economy of transport; KLARPRESSURE UV 8000 – the modern external garden pond filter with UV lamp useful not only for cleaning water but also eliminating floating algae. Except of these news the most interesting part of the exhibition was complete garden pond working with a mobile cascade making a natural waterfall. It was exposed between beautiful living trees making a ‘forest’. ACTI line series was presented too, including garden pond fish’ and aquarium animal’s food, water treatment (both for fresh- and saltwater tanks), plant substrates and marine salt. This line growing very fast and becoming to be one of the competitor of greatest European fish food manufacturers. But it wasn’t all – AQUAEL provided some more very special attractions. All the tanks on the exhibition were arranged by well known Polish underwater artist – Mr. Marian Wojtaszek – plant aquarium expert and winner of many aquascaping contest. Our Very Special Guest was Mr. Heiko Bleher – the legendary traveller, ichthyologist and fish explorer. He was selling (and signing) his books and other publications, talking with our guests and answered question popularizing aquarium hobby in Poland.
